Nine-year old hurt in bike/car accident

A nine-year-old juvenile bicycle rider was treated for moderate head injuries after colliding with a vehicle Tuesday morning in Jefferson City.

Police reports show the incident occurred at Willcoxen Drive and South Lincoln Street around 7:44 a.m.

Rhonda Robinett, 45, Jefferson City, was driving south on South Lincoln and was struck in the side by the juvenile.

The juvenile was traveling east on Willcoxen and failed to yield the right of way as he turned onto South Lincoln.

Robinett had no injuries and was wearing a seat belt.

The juvenile was not wearing a bicycle helmet.
