The winner of the Small Business of the Year award will be announced during the upcoming chamber breakfast to be held at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 24 before the JC Chamber Business Showcase.

Approximately 175 people joined in celebration of the chamber's 120th birthday while highlighting milestones and new offerings at local businesses in the area. The chamber added more than 60 new businesses to its membership this year, with total membership surpassing 900 businesses.

Susan Neill, chamber membership and special events director, said the local chamber has more than 2,000 representatives active in chamber events.
