SULLIVAN - The Jefferson City Lady Jays opened the season Tuesday night with a 42-21 loss to the Sullivan Lady Eagles.
Sullivan led 10-3 after one quarter, but Jefferson City came back to trail 15-11 at the half. Sullivan then outscored Jefferson City 27-10 in the final two quarters.
Megan Foster led the Lady Jays with 12 points.
Jefferson City will face North County at the St. James Shootout at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
