The return of senior Michael Washington, who had applied for the NBA Draft but withdrew his name, should help Arkansas in the long run with its Academic Progress Rate score.

Elks Club volunteers on Saturday delivered boxed meals around the community for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The group put together 60 boxes of dinners that could be prepared at home so Jefferson City area families in need could enjoy a hot Thanksgiving meal.

Recipients expressed their gratitude. Brenda Houston, who is raising six grandchildren, said the food was such a blessing, "It's like God brings angels in for me. I'm so thankful."
