MU stays perfect with victory against Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - It's down to one.

The Missouri volleyball team moved to within one win of a perfect regular season Sunday, sweeping Kentucky to move to 33-0.

The fourth-ranked Tigers downed the No. 16 Wildcats by a 25-15, 25-20, 25-16 score to improve to 17-0 in Southeastern Conference play.

Senior all-American Lisa Henning led the Tigers with 17 kills while racking up a hitting percentage of .556, while freshman Carly Kan chipped in with 15 kills on .542 hitting.

Senior setter Molly Kreklow dished out 39 assists in the victory, guiding Missouri to better than .300 hitting for the 28th time in 33 matches.

Junior libero Sarah Meister collected 16 digs, which was a match high and doubled the output by the entire Kentucky team.

Missouri will attempt to go 34-0 overall and 18-0 in the SEC when it hosts Arkansas on Wednesday for Senior Night. Game time is 6:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center.
