Missouri State wins

SPRINGFIELD - Jarmar Gulley scored a career high 23 points and Christian Kirk added a career high 21 more as undefeated Missouri State rolled to an 81-67 win Sunday against Hampton in the Corpus Christi Challenge.

Missouri State (4-0) trailed by a basket with 6:51 remaining in the first half, but tied it at 25 with a Ron Mvouika layup and took the lead on a jumper by Gulley that ignited a 17-6 run. The Bears took a 42-31 advantage into the break and extended the gap in the second half.

Deron Powers led Hampton (2-3) with a game-high 29 points, while Emmanuel Okoroba added 12 and Du'Vaughn Maxwell pulled in 14 rebounds.

Missouri State shot 52.5 percent from the field, emptying its bench to give playing time to its entire roster and getting points from nine different players.
