LU men's basketball squad falls to McKendree

LEBANON, ILL — The Lincoln University men’s basketball team fell to 1-5 on the season after suffering a 84-71 loss to McKendree on Saturday afternoon.

Charles Cole paced the Blue Tigers with 18 points, five rebounds, and added two blocked shots, while Dimitrije Gudovski chipped in 12 points, six rebounds and two blocks. James Emond also finished in double-digits, scoring 11 points and pulling down six boards.

McKendree, who lost to Lincoln by 20 on Wednesday, jumped out to a 17-3 lead and ended the first half on a 9-2 run to take a 45-30 lead.

McKendree (3-1) scored 20 of the first 26 points to open the second half and held Lincoln scoreless for more than three minutes.

Lincoln will be back in action next weekend at the HBCU Classic in Memphis. The Blue Tigers are scheduled to play Tougaloo on Friday and Talladega on Saturday.
