Murphy joins Red Wolves

Helias senior Anna Murphy recently signed a national letter of intent to play Division I volleyball for the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Attending a recent signing ceremony with Murphy were her parents, Mark and Lorna Murphy, former club coach Katie Johnson and Helias head coach David Harris.

Murphy, a four-year starter for the Lady Crusaders, was an all-district and all-region selection her junior and senior seasons. She racked up 157 kills and 64 blocks in 57 sets during her senior season.

"We are very excited about this recruiting class," Arkansas State head coach David Rehr said. "(They are) going to help our offense in the future. This is an experienced class and will be used immediately when they arrive on campus."
