On Sunday at 11:13 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Haaf Dr. in reference property destruction complaint.
An area resident, witnessed several subjects in a dark color, older model truck, damaging mailboxes by throwing filled water bottles at them.
With the description of the suspect's vehicle obtained from the witness, officers were able to locate and stopped the suspect vehicle in the 200 block of Monroe St.
The vehicle was occupied by four adult males and one adult female.The subjects admitted to damaging 5 to 10 mailboxes.
As of Monday morning, on the eastside of Jefferson City, officers located 15 damaged mailboxes, but they believe there could be more victims to this incident.
The 5 subjects were arrested for property destruction.
