STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - Bria Hartley tied a career high with 29 points and Saniya Chong had 16 to help No. 1 Connecticut knock off its third Top 25 team of the week and beat No. 13 Penn State 72-51 Sunday.

The Huskies (4-0) opened the short road trip with a 72-55 win at No. 8 Maryland on Friday night. They built a 23-point lead early in the second half against the Lady Lions (2-1) and held on to win the program's 199th game against a ranked team. The Huskies beat No. 3 Stanford by 19 points on Monday.

Maggie Lucas scored 18 points and Tori Waldner had 11 for Penn State.

Breanna Stewart added 14 points for the short-handed Huskies.

Connecticut was without two of its best players, preseason All-American Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and sophomore forward Morgan Tuck. Mosqueda-Lewis injured her elbow against Stanford, and Tuck is expected to miss at least a month after undergoing right knee surgery Tuesday.

No. 2 DUKE 92, ALABAMA 57

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Tricia Liston scored 20 points and Richa Jackson added 15 to help Duke beat Alabama.

The Blue Devils (3-0) posted the 400th win at Cameron Indoor Stadium in program history.

Elizabeth Williams scored 13 points and Alexis Jones had 12 points to help Duke extend its home winning streak against unranked opponents to 124 games.

Haley Peters added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Devils.

Khadijah Carter and Shafontaye Myers scored 13 points each to lead Alabama (0-3). Karyla Middlebrook added 11 points and Daisha Simmons had 10 points for the Crimson Tide.

Duke opened the game with a 19-4 spurt and led 31-8 midway through the first half. The Blue Devils made 12 of their first 16 shots from the floor and shot 52 percent for the game.

No. 3 STANFORD 66, UC DAVIS 48

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Chiney Ogwumike had 28 points and 15 rebounds in helping Stanford beat UC Davis.

Amber Orrange added 10 points for the Cardinal (3-1), who beat the Aggies for the eighth straight time and even the series, dating to 1971, at 9-9.

Sydnee Fipps scored 14 points for the Aggies (0-3), who also have top-ranked UConn on their road schedule.

Cardinal coach Tara VanDerveer, in her 35th season and 28th at Stanford, earned her 897th career win, three shy of becoming the fifth women's basketball coach to record at least 900 victories.

Stanford led 34-20 at the half.

No. 4 TENNESSEE 87, GEORGIA TECH 76

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Bashaara Graves matched a career high with 23 points and set a new career high with 18 rebounds to help Tennessee remain undefeated with a victory over Georgia Tech.

Isabelle Harrison added 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for the Lady Vols (4-0). Mercedes Russell had 14 points and Meighan Simmons added 13.

Kaela Davis scored 28 points to lead Georgia Tech (2-1).

Davis, the daughter of former NBA forward Antonio Davis, was verbally committed to Tennessee before eventually signing with Georgia Tech. Davis' twin brother, A.J. Davis, plays forward for the Tennessee men's basketball team. He was in the stands Sunday wearing Tennessee gear and cheering for his sister.

Tennessee led by 18 points in the first half before Georgia Tech (2-1) used exceptional 3-point shooting to rally. Georgia Tech trailed 70-65 before Tennessee put the game away with a 12-0 run.

No. 5 LOUISVILLE 97, No. 11 OKLAHOMA 92, OT

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Tia Gibbs scored 23 points and Louisville beat Oklahoma to win the preseason WNIT title.

Trailing 95-87 in OT, the Sooners scored five straight to cut it to 95-92 with 25 seconds left. The Cardinals (4-0) turned over the inbounds pass and the Sooners had a chance. Morgan Hook's 3-pointer missed and Oklahoma grabbed the rebound. Aaryn Ellenberg had one last shot but her 3-pointer also fell short.

Ellenberg led the Sooners (3-1) with 22 points and Sharene Campbell added 19.

Shoni Schimmel scored 16 points for the Cards. Asia Taylor had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

No. 7 KENTUCKY 96, CENTRAL MICHIGAN 74

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - DeNesha Stallworth scored 21 points and Janee Thompson added a career-high 17 to help Kentucky pull away from Central Michigan.

Stallworth scored 11 in the second half with help from 5-foot-7 sophomore guard Thompson, who added seven of her 11 points after intermission. A 19-7 Kentucky scoring spurt coming out of the break provided a cushion as the Chippewas fought back to make it interesting, getting within 80-68 on Jewel Cotton's third straight basket with 5:53 remaining.

Stallworth took over from there for Kentucky, scoring six points down the stretch to create some distance from CMU. Kastine Evans added 13 points, Jennifer O'Neill 11 and Samarie Walker and Azia Bishop 10 each for the Wildcats (4-0).

Crystal Bradford scored a game-high 23 points for Central Michigan (1-1) before fouling out with 2:35 left.

No. 10 CALIFORNIA 67, GEORGETOWN 52

WASHINGTON (AP) - Rashanda Gray scored 15 points and California snapped a two-game losing streak with a victory over Georgetown.

Mercedes Jefflo added 14 points and Brittany Boyd had nine steals for the Golden Bears (2-2), who completed their trip to the nation's Capitol on a better note than they started. California lost at George Washington on Friday night.

California led 34-24 at halftime and extended the margin to as much as 21 in the second half.

Natalie Butler scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Katie McCormick added 14 points for Georgetown (1-2), which dropped its second straight game.

Georgetown's Shayla Cooper, the Big East Preseason Rookie of the Year, was suspended before the game indefinitely for "detrimental conduct in violation of team rules," according to Sports Information Director Barbara Barnes. Cooper averaged 16 points and 8.5 rebounds in Georgetown's first two games.

No. 12 NORTH CAROLINA 78, UCLA 68

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Allisha Gray had a career-high 30 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, and North Carolina repelled runs in both halves to beat UCLA.

The freshman made six 3-pointers to help the foul-plagued Tar Heels (2-1), who lost Brittany Rountree after she got hurt early in the second half. Rountree had three fouls, and fellow starters Diamond DeShields and Xylina McDaniel had four. Stephanie Mavunga fouled out with nine points.

North Carolina traveled across the country to earn its first win in Los Angeles, where the Tar Heels had been 0-2. They tied the all-time series 4-4. Jessica Washington added 16 points and McDaniel scored 13.

Thea Lemberger scored 19 points for the Bruins (1-2), who lost to their second ranked opponent. They opened the season with a 28-point loss to then-No. 17 Nebraska on the road.

No. 16 TEXAS A&M 63, HOUSTON 51

HOUSTON (AP) - Courtney Walker scored a game-high 19 points and Achiri Ade added 18 with 11 rebounds as Texas A&M pulled away from Houston.

The Aggies (3-0) shot 39.7 percent from the field to Houston's 30.2, and led by as much as 11 before the Cougars used an 11-3 run to close within three, 45-42, midway through the second half.

Texas A&M responded with a run of its own as Walker hit two jumpers and a 3-pointer to increase the lead back to 12 with 3:48 remaining.

Walker shot 9 of 17 from the field, dished out a game-high six assists and had six rebounds. Courtney Williams hauled in 11 rebounds for the Aggies.

The Cougars (0-3) were paced by Marche' Amerson with 12 points. Demetria Foreman scored 10 and Yasmeen Thompson had eight with 10 boards.

No. 18 PURDUE 81, TOLEDO 79

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Courtney Moses scored 30 points to lift Purdue to a win over Toledo.

Moses was 13 of 18 from the field, with four 3-pointers, including the go-ahead jumper with 6:29 remaining in the second half that gave the Boilermakers (3-0) the lead it would hold to the buzzer. Houser added 17 points and eight assists to extend her double-digit scoring streak to 14 games.

Toledo (1-2) trailed by just 2 at the break, 41-39, and kept the game close with seven lead changes before Purdue took control in the closing minutes. Andola Dorch closed the gap to a point (80-79) on a layup with 33 seconds left, but then fouled Houser who sank a free throw to pad the Purdue win.

Dortch, who was 8 of 15 for 22 points, led five Toledo players in double-digit scoring.

No. 19 MICHIGAN STATE 96, No. 23 DAYTON 89, OT

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Tori Jankoska and Aerial Powers each scored 24 points as Michigan State outlasted Dayton.

The Spartans (2-1) trailed by two late in regulation, but Powers hit a layup with nine seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

Following an Ally Malott 3-pointer to cut Dayton's deficit to one, Michigan State scored six straight points as Jankoska hit a layup to make the score 89-82 in overtime.

Malott hit another triple to pull within four, but Annalise Pickrel made a free throw and Klarissa Bell added two late ones to seal the win.

Pickrel finished with 21 points and Kiana Johnson had 14 for the Spartans. Jankoska grabbed nine rebounds, and Powers and Pickrel each hauled in seven.

Andrea Hoover led the Flyers (2-2) with 25 points and Malott added 19 with a game-high 15 boards.

NO. 21 SOUTH CAROLINA 88, SETON HALL 67

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Elem Ibiam scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead South Carolina to a win over Seton Hall.

After Jasmine McCall's jumper with 15:59 remaining pulled Seton Hall (3-1) within six, 49-43, South Carolina went on a 12-3 run, spurred on by back-to-back 3-pointers by Tiffany Welch, to open up a 57-43 lead with 12:48 to play.

Janee Johnson trimmed the Gamecocks' lead to 11 points with a three-point play about six minutes late but Ibiam then rattled off seven consecutive points in a 12-2 surge as South Carolina pushed its lead to 84-63 with 2:38 left.

Khadijah Sessions scored 17 points while Tiffany Mitchell and Aleighsa Welch added 15 apiece for South Carolina, which shot 57.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range.

Tabitha Richardson-Smith paced Seton Hall with 24 points and eight rebounds. Ka-Deidre Simmons added 19 points.

No. 24 GEORGIA 53, OHIO STATE 49

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Erika Ford scored 13 points and Khaalidah Miller 12 as Georgia held off Ohio State.

Miller hit three of her team's five 3-pointers, including one at 2:19 that extended Georgia lead to 51-45. Ohio State's Raven Ferguson scored a putback after an offensive rebound and Ameryst Alston made two free throws in the final minutes, but the Buckeyes could not get closer than four.

Alston scored a game-high 22 points for the Buckeyes (3-1), including six points in the final 6:45. She and Darryce Moore each scored early as Ohio State led 7-1, and were up 33-29 at the half on an Alston 3-pointer.

Krista Donald and Miller combined for seven points in one-minute flurry to put the Lady Bulldogs up for good at 40-33 with 16:12 to play. Donald finished with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
