COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia College captured its first American Midwest Conference Tournament title Thursday night with a 2-0 victory against Park University.
Columbia College (16-2-1), the regular-season conference champions, earned a bid into the NAIA National Tournament with the victory. The first-round pairings will be announced Sunday, with the tournament starting Nov. 23.
After the contest, the conference individual awards were announced. Taylor Hagenhoff (Helias High School) of Columbia College was named the Freshman of the Year. Madi Nichols (Helias) also plays on the squad.
