Man gets 3 life terms for triple homicide

CAMDENTON, Mo. (AP) - A southern Missouri man who was convicted of killing three people within months of finishing a prison term for another murder will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

A Camden County judge on Tuesday gave 54-year-old Morris McCabe three consecutive life sentences without parole.

McCabe, of Lebanon was convicted in July on three counts each of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Prosecutors said McCabe shot and killed Don Myers, Don Young and Sally Amos in a rural Camden County home in December 2010. Myers had dated McCabe's ex-girlfriend, but was not acquainted with the other two victims.

The murders occurred 10 months after McCabe finished a 30-year sentence for killing a man whose girlfriend hired him to commit the crime.
