At 11:24 a.m. Monday, Jefferson City police responded to a deceased person call at 1104 E. High St.
Upon arriving officers discovered that Cole County EMS and members of the Jefferson City Fire Department were on the scene after being dispatched for an unresponsive person call.
Joseph Morgan, a 35 year old Jefferson City resident, was found deceased in the residence.
Detectives were called to the scene and after a preliminary investigation it was learned that Morgan had recent health issues and that the death is not suspicious in nature.
An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted and police will be waiting for further information from the toxicology reports.
