Missouri State tops Southern Illinois 37-27

CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) - Ashton Glaser threw for 310 yards, two touchdowns and ran for another score as Missouri State topped Southern Illinois 37-27 on Saturday.

Missouri State (5-6, 5-2 Missouri Valley Conference) trailed 14-0 midway through the first quarter but came back to take a 21-17 lead in the second on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Glaser to LeMarcus Stewart. Glaser tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to Gannon Sinclair in the third to put the Bears up 31-20.

Southern Illinois (5-5, 3-3) cut the lead to 31-27 in the fourth but Glaser ran for a 1-yard score with 2:04 to play to make it a two-possession game.

Missouri State has now won four in a row for the first time since 2002. The win was just Missouri State's second in the past 11 meetings with Southern Illinois.

John Lantz hauled in six receptions for 139 yards for the Salukis.
