BizBeat: "Up In Smoke' opens second location

After 21⁄2 years of business in Holts Summit, Up In Smoke owners Debbie and Darrell Libbert are excited to be opening a second location. The new smoke shop, located at 711 Madison St. in Jefferson City, opened Nov. 1.

The Brazito couple heard about the building vacancy from a friend, and jumped at the opportunity for a spot in the Southside neighborhood. Debbie noted the busy roadway and amount of traffic that comes directly past the storefront as a plus to being in the new location.

For the past month, the Libberts have been getting the former Rush Cash building ready for the Up In Smoke opening. Carpets were replaced, a wall was torn down and the building received a fresh coat of paint.

Up In Smoke will offer a variety of items for customers including several tobacco products, loose tobacco and cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, incense, T-shirts, tie-dye apparel, candles, ash trays, pipes, Hookah products, Foos E-vapor, purses and novelty items.

Debbie is excited to meet her new customers and said she has a lot of fun and unique products.

Debbie said the Jefferson City location is bigger than the Holts Summit store, offering a bigger selection. The family-owned and operated business will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
