COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Missouri Tigers trailed the Central Missouri Mules by two points with just seven minutes left in the game, but they used a 25-10 scoring edge down the stretch to win 92-79.
The Mules led the exhibition contest for the majority of the second half and matched their biggest edge of the game at 65-57 when T.J. White made a layup with 9:59 left.
But Missouri went on an 8-0 spurt, keyed by two 3-pointers by Earnest Ross and a layup by Johnathan Williams to tie it.
The game was tied twice more after that, before the Tigers took the lead for good when Jabari Brown nailed a 3 with 6:43 left that made it 70-69.
The 13-point margin of victory was the biggest lead for either team in the game.
Central Missouri, which took its biggest lead of the first half at 43-35, held a 45-43 edge at intermission.
Ross pumped in a game-high 25 points for Missouri, while Jordan Clarkson was close behind with 24. Brown had 19 and Williams had eight points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
