Trailhead Plaza to celebrate five years

The Jefferson City Lewis and Clark Task Force will commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Corps of Discovery Monument and the Lewis and Clark Trailhead Plaza on June 4.

The event, which will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public at the plaza. Those attending are asked to bring lawn chairs. In case of rain, the program will be in the Capitol Rotunda.

Music will be provided by Michael Bloemke and Bob Volkart. Columbia sculptor Sabra Tulle Meyer, who created the five life-size bronze statues, will be part of the program, along with the Jefferson City Lewis and Clark singers.
