FARMINGTON, Mo. (AP) - A 14-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car in eastern Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Kaitlyn R. Prater of Farmington died late Friday after she was hit by a car on Missouri Route 32 outside Farmington.
The patrol says Prater was trying to cross the road when she was hit. Prater was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries.
