JENNINGS, Mo. (AP) - A suburban St. Louis woman believes a short walk to get a flashlight during a storm saved her life.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/12K5zUg ) reports the Jennings home of 78-year-old Beatrice Flieger lost power at the height of a severe storm Monday night. She had to get up from her kitchen chair to get a flashlight in the bedroom.
Seconds later, winds knocked over a massive tree that crashed through the roof and crushed the chair she had just walked away from.
