Five arrested after disturbance in JC Sunday

Five people were taken into custody after getting into a disturbance with police in Jefferson City, Sunday afternoon.
According to police reports, just after 1p.m. officers responded to a possible burglary in progress in the 800 block of Monroe Street.
When officers arrived, they located a group of people in the area acting suspiciously.
It was eventually determined that at least one of the persons, Cameron Jackson-Bey, 21, Jefferson City, was a suspect.
Officers approached Jackson-Bey to question him, but he became combative and threatening to the officers.
Jackson-Bey was placed under arrest and is facing charges of first-degree burglary, third-degree domestic assault and stealing
After this, the rest of the crowd approached officers yelling obscenities and making threats.
While the other four suspects closed in on officers, they were sprayed with pepper mace and taken into custody.
Kayla Kennemore, 18, Aaron Burns, 17, Senesha Hickman, 19, and Quinton Hickman, 22, all from Jefferson City, are each facing municipal charges of interfering with an arrest, failure to obey a police officer, and resisting arrest.
No officers were hurt during the disturbance.
