Two assaults reported at JCHS

Jefferson City police officers dealt with two assault calls at Jefferson City High School on Monday.

School reports show a 16-year-old female student made "significant" threats to another female student.

Principals learned of the threats and contacted the student in question, who was later transferred to Prenger Family Center.

Authorities also dealt with a 16-year-old male student who chased another male student down a hallway.

The student in question threw a chair at the other student, striking him and causing a minor injury.

In both cases, the students face up to 10 days suspension and could be referred to the superintendent for further discipline.
