Your Opinion: Misplaced focus on ethical treatment

Dear Editor:

I have read with amusement the furor of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) or as I like to say "People Eating Tasty Animals", about New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie killing a spider in front of his daughter's classmates as they toured his office.

Where is their outrage over Dr. Kermit Gosnell killing babies that survived his murderous act of abortion, called infanticide? Just what is their outrage based upon? The killing of a spider is something to be outraged about, but the killing of born and unborn babies is not?

How low must we stoop before people get to thinking that mankind is so much more precious than a spider?

Where is their outrage about our dear ruler, while serving in the Illinois legislature, voting three times to not bring murder charges against a doctor that kills a baby that survives an abortion? I wonder which political party these people are members of, that think it is okay to kill a child that survives an abortion?

While on the subject of Gosnell, when was the last time you have seen any ABC news coverage of this doctor's (sic) horrendous acts of murder? I'll tell you, you haven't! They have however covered the Jodi Aries trial every day. Why are they not bringing attention to the murderous acts of this so-called doctor? Could it be, as I have said before, they don't want to highlight any negative issues with the killing of babies that survive an abortion even though the law calls such acts as infanticide.

I wonder if the people in charge of ABC news are in sympathy with PETA, about Gov. Christie killing a spider? It wouldn't surprise me at all if they were as at times they seem to be more concerned with the trivial rather than the important.

In the Wizard of Oz, the line I remember is, "Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain." The mainstream media plays the role of the wizard.

They don't want us to learn about anything other than those things that further their agenda. Why else would they make such a big deal of a sodomite basketball player calling him "courageous" while making fun of a Christian athlete like Tim Tebow?

Go figure.
