KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Claudio Bieler scored two goals, the second on a penalty kick, and Jimmy Nielsen recorded his club-record 38th career shutout as Sporting Kansas City beat Chivas USA 4-0 on Sunday.

Nielsen, who leads MLS with six shutouts this season, broke a tie for the club mark with Tony Meola.

Bieler's spot kick, which put Sporting up 2-0 in the 57th minute, came after Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy was shown a red card for pulling down Paulo Nagamura in the area. Bieler also scored in the 41st minute.

Graham Zusi, who had an assist on Bieler's first score, had a goal in the 65th minute goal for Sporting (5-3-2), which snapped a two-match losing streak, and C.J. Sapong scored his first goal of the season in the 87th.

Chivas (3-4-2) is 0-3-1 over its last four.

DYNAMO 1, GALAXY 0

CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Andrew Driver scored in the 56th minute to lift Houston past Los Angeles.

Houston goalie Tally Hall stopped Landon Donovan's penalty kick in the 25th minute to help the Dynamo (5-2-2) win a rematch of the last two MLS Cup finals - both won by Los Angeles. Houston also moved into a tie atop the Eastern Conference with Sporting Kansas City, New York and Montreal.

It was the second time this season Donovan failed to convert a penalty kick for the Galaxy (4-2-2). His attempt came after Jose Villarreal was knocked down by Hall as he sprinted into the Dynamo box. Donovan also missed from the penalty spot in Los Angeles' April 13 loss at FC Dallas.
