Kucsik, Wolf advance in Class 1

STE. GENEVIEVE — Linn’s Zach Kucsik and Russellville’s Chandler Wolf both advanced to the Class 1 State Golf Tournament with their sectional finishes Monday at the Ste. Genevieve Golf Club.

Kucsik tied for sixth with a 10-over 82 and Wolf tied for 13th with an 86.

Also competing for Linn were Bryce Kliethermes (100), Aaron Parkhurst (109) and Mackenzie Wilson (110).

Also competing for Russellville were Clayton Harrison (104), Levi Anderson (111) and Devin Koestner (114).

Tanner Hinson competed for Belle and finished with a 99.

The Class 1 State Golf Tournament will be held May 13-14 at the Silo RIdge Golf Club in Bolivar.

FAYETTE — New Bloomfield golfer Ridge Martin advanced to the Class 1 state golf championships.

Martin fired a 95 to finish in a tie for 19th during Monday’s sectional meet at Heritage Hills Golf Course.

Other finishers for the Wildcats included Tyler Grace (33rd, 102), Dustin Gillispie (36th, 104) and Kyle Voss (49th, 130).

The Class 1 championship is set for May 13-14 at Silo Ridge Golf Course in Springfield.
