Heckemeyer shines for St. Elizabeth

SKYLINE — It was all Allie Heckemeyer on Monday.

The St. Elizabeth junior won four events at the Class 1 District 4 track and field meet, taking first in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, long jump and triple jump.

Heckemeyer now advances to the sectional meet Saturday in Willard.

St. Elizabeth advanced a total of seven athletes in 13 different events. The top-four finishers in each event qualify for sectionals.

BOYS

100-meter dash: 7. Jared Bax, 12.3.

1,600-meter run: 4. Ben Buechter, 5:07.5.

800-meter run: 3. Buechter, 2:18.6.

200-meter dash: 6. Bax, 26.4.

3,200-meter run: 7. Buechter, 12:03.2.

Pole vault: 2. Wyatt Stiles, 9-0.

Long jump: 4. Bax, 17-8. 8. Stiles, 15-9 3/4.

Triple jump: 5. Drake Wilkerson, 35-6 1/4.

Shot put: 7. Jesse Siebert, 31-11 1/2.

Discus: 8. Seth Bradshaw, 90-2.

GIRLS

100-meter hurdles: 8. Kaileen Wilkerson, 22.6.

100-meter dash: 2. Makayla Otto, 13.2.

400-meter dash: 1. Allie Heckemeyer, 1:02.9; 4. Otto, 1:06.1.

200-meter dash: 1. Heckemeyer, 27.5.; 3. Otto, 28.0.

High jump: 3. Julie Schneider, 4-0.

Long jump: 1. Heckemeyer, 16-3 3/4; 5. Otto, 14-3.

Triple jump: 1. Heckemeyer, 34-6.

Discus: 2. Sara Struemph, 81-5; 7. Audrey Strutton, 72-3.
