HAYS, Kan. — The Central Missouri Mules were eliminated from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament after losing their opening-round, best-of-three series with Pittsburg State two games to one.
In the series opener Saturday, Pittsburg State captured an 11-3 win.
Later on Saturday, the Mules rebounded for a 16-4 victory. Brad Wilson (Helias High School) had a single, a double and one RBI for the winners.
Pittsburg State then eliminated Central Missouri on Sunday with a 9-7 win in 10 innings.
Wilson had a double and one RBI for the Mules.
Central Missouri (35-11) will now have to wait until Sunday to find out if they will receive an at-large invitation to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
