Lady Jays take down Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. — Eden Hoogveld tallied a pair of goals Friday night to lift the Jefferson City Lady Jays to a 2-0 victory against the Waynesville Lady Tigers.

Natalie Vance picked up an assist on one of the scores. The other was unassisted.

Becca Sturgess got the shutout in goal for the Lady Jays.

Jefferson City likely earned the No. 1 seed in the Class 3 District 10 Tournament with the victory. The Lady Jays are undefeated against potential district foes this season.

The Lady Jays (12-3-1) are back in action Monday at home against Kickapoo for Senior Night. The junior varsity game will start at 4 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow around 5:45 p.m.
