Jefferson City Cantorum will present its spring concert "Lift Up Your Voice in Song" at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Performing Arts Center, 501 Madison St.
The community choir of nearly 70 members will perform under the direction of Glen Webb and will be accompanied by pianist Jan Houser.
"We'll have various genres from classical to contemporary, spirituals and secular," Webb said.
A few songs include "You Raise Me Up," "The Wind Beneath My Wings," "Rock A My Soul" and "Peace Is Flowing Like A River."
A 25-piece orchestra, made up of community instrumentalists and members of the Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra, will join the Cantorum on several songs.
"It will be a fun concert," Webb said. "The music is fun, people will recognize it and it will be in their heads long after the concert is over."
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 18 and under and $8 for adults over 65. A group ticket for a family of 3-5 is $25. Prices will be $1 higher the evening of the performance.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from Cantorum members and at four area businesses - Samuel's Tuxedoes and Gifts, 236 E. High St.; Hawthorn Bank East, 800 Eastland Dr.; Central Bank West, 3533 Country Club Dr.; and Capital Music, 213 E. Miller St. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
