Jays golf at districts

Due to incorrect information provided to the News Tribune, several individual results for the Jefferson City Jays in the Class 4 District 5 Golf Tournament in Willard were listed incorrectly in Tuesday's print edition.

Four Jays finished among the top 15 individuals not on the top two team finishers, so Jefferson City will have enough players to post a team score at the upcoming sectional tournament. Those four players' scores were incorrectly listed as two shots above their actual score.

Gabe Trowbridge led the way for Jefferson City, posting an 82 to finish 11th overall. Jays teammates David Anderson and Andrew Hansen were one shot back to tie for 12th with 83s, while Brennan Horn tied for 21st with an 89.

Trowbridge, Anderson and Hansen all earned medals as all-district performers.

Matt Echelmeier of Rock Bridge was the medalist with a 74, two shots better than teammate Jake Knoesel.

Rock Bridge took team honors at 311, while Rolla claimed the other sectional team spot with a 330. Willard was third at 333.

The sectional tournament will be played at Eagle Knoll.
