Your Opinion: Listen to public transit riders

Dear Editor:

I am one of many people who ride the bus. I use the Handi Wheels. That takes me to and from the doctor's appointments and the stores. This is my way of getting around.

I don't ride the city buses but many people do to get to work and home. What would all of these people do? And cutting two hours a day out of the drivers' schedules is going to cause more back-up on runs. Your doctor's appointment is made first then you schedule with Handi Wheels. Who gives you (city officials) the right to what's right and wrong on keeping these buses in service and on time.

I bet not one of you knows what goes on. Maybe you don't understand the set-up with the schedules with direction and pick-up times.

A day may come when you or someone that you know may have to use the service.

You need to have a meeting and hear from the riders' side of the stories.
