Road Work for Mid-Missouri from April 1-6, 2013

Here's a county-by-county list of state highway projects scheduled in the coming week around Mid-Missouri.

Cole County

• Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas — Bridge rehabilitation is under way. One lane will be open, and temporary traffic signals will move traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Boone/Callaway counties

• U.S. 63 at the Boone/Callaway County line — One northbound lane is closed, and work is expected to begin Tuesday to clear a rockslide from the right-of-way.

Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 — Construction of a diverging diamond interchange is under way. Motorists should be prepared for periodic street and lane closures and delays. Construction is scheduled to be completed in winter of 2014.

• Route Z at I-70 — Bridge replacement, shoulder widening, roundabout construction and resurfacing is scheduled to begin this upcoming week. The overpass will be closed during the construction. Route Z can be accessed by taking the north outer road, while Rangeline Road can be accessed by taking the south outer road. Eastbound and westbound I-70 will be closed during the nighttime hours on Wednesday and Thursday. Traffic will be rerouted through the exit ramps and back onto I-70.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

• I-70 over Hominy Creek west of exit 131 — Bridge and pavement replacement in the westbound lanes is under way. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• U.S. 63 over I-70 in Columbia — Bridge inspection in the northbound and southbound lanes will take place during the upcoming week. One northbound and one southbound lane will be open through the work area.

• U.S. 63 between Peabody Road and Hinton Road — Roadside maintenance in the southbound lanes will take place Monday through Thursday. One southbound lane will be open through the work area.

• I-70 Drive at Route Z — Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck — Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in spring 2014.

Miller County

• U.S. 54 bridge over the Osage River east of Wood River Road — Bridge rehabilitation in the westbound lanes is under way. One lane will be open through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in May.

• Missouri 42 between Missouri 17 and Missouri 134 — Shoulder widening work will resume Monday. One lane will be open, and a pilot car will guide traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in July.

• Missouri 42 between Missouri 17 and Route TT — Roadside maintenance will take place Wednesday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Missouri 52 between Missouri 17 and Route PP — Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through April 11. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Missouri 52 between Missouri 17 and Woods Road — Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday through April 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route K between Bethany Road and Cannor Ridge Road — Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route Y between Missouri 52 and Hackler Road — Culvert pipe replacement will take place Monday through April 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route BB between Missouri 42 and Missouri 133 — Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Moniteau County

• Route N between Missouri 87 and Route NN — Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through April 12. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W — Construction of new lanes. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.
