Your Opinion: City should assist survival of JCTV

Dear Editor:

It is my hope that Lincoln University will be able to salvage something of JCTV for the experience that it offers students and others interested in broadcasting.

I also think that Jefferson City should at least chip in to fund the broadcasting of City Council meetings. This is an essential public service, since meetings are held on Monday evenings when many people, including all public transit riders, cannot attend.

Transparency in city government demands that the meetings be accessible to the populace.
