Jays beat John Burroughs, improve to 5-0 on the season

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Another day, another win for Jefferson City.

They Jays improved to 5-0 on the season with a 10-5 victory against John Burroughs out of St. Louis on Monday.

Travis Hennessey picked up the win by tossing five innings, allowing one earned run on six hits and striking out 11.

Cameron Carroll pitched the final two innings, allowing one earned run on two hits with three strikeouts.

Hayden Strobel went 2-for-2 with two RBI, Brenden Ogletree and Corey Beard both went 2-for-2 with a RBI and Ripken Dodson went 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Jefferson City plays Fort Pierce (Fla.) on Wednesday.
