Zonta honors DeFeo

The Zonta Club Foundation of Jefferson City named Marilyn DeFeo as the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

She is the volunteer executive director of Samaritan Center, which she founded more than 25 years ago. The center has since grown to include not only food distribution, but medical and dental clinics, a legal-care program, tax assistance, clothing distribution, utility and rent assistance and special programs to benefit local students.

The award will be presented at the Yellow Rose Luncheon May 7 at Capitol Plaza Hotel.

Marilyn DeFeo and her husband, Lou DeFeo, are just about the best examples of human beings at their best.

congratulations to Marilyn for all the good she has done for those who need help.

I have known Marilyn since the mid-70's as my children attended school with some of their children and I worked in the Attorney Genral's Office with her husband. He too, is just the best.
