MU wrestlers set for NCAAs

A pair of Missouri Tigers are No. 1 seeds in their respective weight classes as the NCAA Wrestling Championships get set to start today in Des Moines, Iowa.

Alan Waters (29-0) is No. 1 at 125 pounds, while Dom Bradley (35-1) holds down the top spot at 285.

They are two of 10 Tigers who have advanced to the championships. Three others — Nathan McCormick (31-4), No. 6 at 133, Mike Larson (27-10), No. 11 at 184, and Brent Haynes (31-8), No. 12 at 197 — are seeded along with Waters and Bradley. Larson and Haynes are four-year qualifiers.

The Tigers, who are ranked No. 4 in the NWCA/USA Today Coaches Poll, are coming off capturing a Mid-American Conference wrestling championship earlier this month.
