WARRENTON, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in eastern Missouri have identified a 55-year-old man who died in a weekend apartment fire.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/Yoa16J ) that Roger D. Medsker died in the fire Sunday in Warrenton. Investigators believe Medsker died of smoke inhalation, but autopsy results are pending.
Chief Mike Owenby of the Warrenton Fire Protection District says the fire heavily damaged four units at the apartment building. Owenby says the fire appeared to have started in the kitchen. The state fire marshal is investigating.
