Mo. woman rescued after driving into high water

MOSELLE, Mo. (AP) - An eastern Missouri woman is OK after being rescued from the hood of her car on a flooded road.

The water rescue happened Tuesday morning near Moselle in Franklin County. The Washington Missourian (http://bit.ly/YE7Rz2 ) reports that rescuers were dispatched at 5:08 a.m. and found a woman on the hood of her car. She had driven into high water over the road and the engine stalled. She used her cell phone to call 911.

Much of eastern Missouri received 3-5 inches of rain over the weekend, causing flooding.
