Brent Vogel of Central Missouri has been named the USTFCCCA National Division II Field Athlete of the Year.
Vogel (Helias High School) established an NCAA Division II record in the heptathlon with 5,760 points last weekend at the Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
Vogel, a senior, set personal records in six of the seven heptathlon events. He is now a three-time All-American in the event, having taking fourth as a sophomore and second as a junior.
Vogel is the defending NCAA Division II champion in the decathlon outdoors.
