DANVILLE, Ark. - The Lincoln golf team opened its spring season with a seventh-place finish at the David Falconer Memorial Classic on Tuesday.
Steven Mallow led the Blue Tigers with a two-day total of 156 to finish in 28th as the Blue Tigers shot 624 as a team.
Other finishers for Lincoln included Nick Goeke and Kenny Conrad (34th, 158), Austin Wheeler (41st, 160) and Eric Kosmatka (45th, 161).
Midwestern State (Texas) won the event with a 594. Henderson State (Ark.) was second at 602 while Southwest Oklahoma State finished third with a 614.
Missouri Southern (fourth, 615) and Missouri Western (10th, 632) also represented the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association at the tournament.
Lincoln returns to the course April 2-3 at the UCO Classic in Oklahoma City.
