Walker, Sims earn honors

Lincoln's senior backcourt carried the Blue Tigers all season long. It was recognized by the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association on Tuesday.

Point guard Arriana Walker was named to the All-MIAA third team while shooting guard Freddie Sims earned honorable mention accolades.

Walker, an honorable mention and all-defensive team selection a season ago, led the Blue Tigers in scoring (14.4 points per game).

Walker topped the MIAA in steals (86) and steals per game (3.3) during the regular season, the former ranking her 15th in the nation. It's the second straight year Walker has led the league in steals, the first Lincoln player to ever do so twice. She was also second in the league in assists (4.6).

Sims ranked third in the MIAA in minutes played (33.5), eighth in free-throw percentage (79.3) and 10th in scoring (13.2 ppg).
