INDIANOLA, Iowa - The Westminster College Blue Jays were eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 72-64 loss to Simpson College on Friday night.
The Storm, who improved to 27-2 after an 88-84 win over Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, took a 50-35 lead at halftime against Westminster.
Simpson then outscored the Blue Jays 41-23 in the second half to secure the victory.
Sadie Theroff (Jefferson City High School) tied for the team high for Westminster with 12 points. She also had two rebounds and one steal.
Leigh Ann Lutz (California High School) added six points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal for the Blue Jays, who end the season with a record of 17-11.
