Owls split pair

SAPULPA, Okla. - The William Woods Owls split a doubleheader with Tabor (Kan.) College on Saturday, winning the first 9-3 before falling 7-1 in the nightcap.

Adam Brush (Southern Boone High School) got the win in relief for the Owls, pitching 52⁄3 innings and giving up three runs (one earned) on three hits.

Damon Adrian (Eugene High School) scored a pair of runs for William Woods, while Ryan Schuermann (Southern Boone High School) scored one.

In the second game, Garret Haslag (Eugene High School) was the sixth of six pitchers the Owls used in the game. He gave up one unearned run on two hits in 11⁄3 innings of work.
