Special Olympics event raises $170,000

The 13th annual Polar Plunge at the Lake of the Ozarks has raised $170,000 to date.

Four hundred and eighty-eight men and women took the dip.

Online fundraising is ongoing, and donations can still be made at www.somo.org/plunge.

Individual winners and the money they raised for Special Olympics include: first place, Gary Wilbers, $12,690; second place, Amy Luebbering Pemberton, $7,115; third place, Heidi Lange, $5,860.
