MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Brittney Griner recorded her first triple-double in more than two years and top-ranked Baylor built a big early lead in defeating West Virginia 80-49 on Saturday night.
The largest crowd ever for a women's game at West Virginia saw Griner finish with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. It was her fifth career triple-double, but the first since November 2010.
In the teams' earlier meeting this season in Waco, Texas, Griner finished one blocked shot shy of a triple-double.
Baylor (28-1, 17-0 Big 12) never trailed. The Lady Bears scored the first 14 points of the game and built a 38-22 halftime lead.
Odyssey Sims added 10 points for the Lady Bears.
Christal Caldwell led West Virginia (17-11, 9-8) with 14 points.
No. 2 NOTRE DAME 92, PROVIDENCE 57
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Skylar Diggins scored 28 points and Notre Dame clinched a share of its second straight Big East regular-season title with a rout of Providence.
Kayla McBride added 24 points and Natalie Achonwa chipped in 14 for the Irish (27-1, 15-0 Big East) who extended their winning streak to 22 games.
Symone Roberts had 22 points for Providence (7-21, 2-13), which has lost six straight and 13 of its last 15 games.
The Irish led by 20 points at halftime and opened the second half on a 10-2 run.
Notre Dame will look to win the regular-season outright Monday at home in a showdown with No. 3 Connecticut. The Huskies can gain a share of the title and the top seed in the conference tournament with a win.
No. 3 CONNECTICUT 85, SOUTH FLORIDA 51
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored a career-high 32 points and Stefanie Dolson added 25 as Connecticut tuned up for a Big East rematch with Notre Dame by racing past South Florida.
Mosqueda-Lewis paced the Huskies (27-2, 14-1) by making 11 of 23 shots, including six 3-pointers. Dolson matched her career-best for points by going 8 for 11 from the field, sinking all nine of her free throws and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Next up for UConn is Monday night's nationally televised showdown for a possible share of the conference regular-season title at Notre Dame, which defeated the Huskies 73-72 on the road two months ago.
Inga Orekhova led cold-shooting South Florida (19-9, 8-7) with 13 points. Andrea Smith and Alisia Jenkins each scored 10.
No. 4 STANFORD 72, WASHINGTON STATE 50
PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Chiney Ogwumike had 28 points and 13 rebounds to help Stanford clinch at least a share of the Pac-12 conference title with a win over Washington State.
Ogwumike recorded her 24th double-double of the season and broke Stanford's single season rebound record with (381). The previous record (376) was set by her sister Nnemkadi Ogwumike in the 2009-10 season.
Ogwumike scored 22 points in the first half to give Stanford (28-2, 17-1 Pac-12) a comfortable 35-21 lead at the half. The Cardinal opened the second half with a 13-4 run 48-25. Stanford would extend the lead to 30, 63-33 at the ten minute mark and put the game out of reach. The Cardinal would share the title with California if the Golden Bears beat Washington later Saturday.
Lia Galderia led Washington State (10-19, 6-12) with eight points and seven rebounds.
No. 6 CALIFORNIA 78, WASHINGTON 50
SEATTLE (AP) - Talia Caldwell made 10 of 11 shots and finished with 22 points, and No. 6 California claimed a share of the Pac-12 Conference regular season title for the first time in school history with a win over Washington.
The Golden Bears won their 15th straight and got a piece of their first conference crown along with Bay Area rival Stanford. The Cardinal defeated Washington State earlier Saturday to ensure they would at worst share the title with California.
Even though California will share the title, it's still a benchmark moment for the program and second-year coach Lindsay Gottlieb. She became just the fifth coach in conference history to win a league title in her first two years as a head coach.
Jazmine Davis returned from a one-game suspension to lead Washington (19-10, 11-7) with 19 points.
VILLANOVA 77, No. 22 SYRACUSE 75, 3 OT
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Laura Sweeny scored a season-high 29 points and Rachel Roberts added 20 to help Villanova upset No. 22 Syracuse 77-75 in triple overtime Saturday.
Devon Kane, who hit a game-tying layup at the end of regulation, added 10 points for Villanova (19-6, 8-7), in just the second three-overtime game in Big East regular-season history.
Villanova jumped ahead 58-53 in the first overtime but went scoreless over the final 3 minutes as Syracuse (22-6, 10-5) rallied to force another extra frame.
Roberts' 3-pointer with 1:10 showing was the last basket of the second overtime, as the teams combined to miss four shots in the final minute.
The Wildcats snapped their cold streak in the final extra frame, opening with an 8-2 run to pull away for good.
Kayla Alexander and Carmen Tyson-Thomas each scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Syracuse.
TCU 61, No. 23 IOWA STATE 58
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Zahna Medley scored 18 points and TCU upset Iowa State.
Delisa Gross, a senior playing in her final home game, added 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting off the bench for the Horned Frogs (9-19, 2-15 Big 12), who led by as many as 16 points before Iowa State rallied.
Brynn Williamson led the Cyclones (20-7, 11-6) with 20 points. Hallie Christofferson, who had scored 20 or more points in nine straight games, was held to 13 on 4-of-15 shooting.
Chelsea Poppens had a game-high 13 rebounds. Iowa State fell into a second-place tie with Texas Tech in the Big 12 with one game remaining before the conference tournament next weekend in Dallas.
TCU lost its first 13 conference games before beating Oklahoma State on Feb. 20. The Horned Frogs finished 9-9 at home.
