SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Fatima Comets had three players in double figures Saturday night and defeated Strafford Indians 65-45 in a Class 3 quarterfinal contest at Drury University.
With the win, the Comets (28-1, ranked No. 4) advance to the Class 3 Final Four starting Thursday at Mizzou Arena. Fatima will face St. Pius X: Kansas City (22-6) in the semifinal at 1:40 p.m.
Tanner Gentges led Fatima with 21 points. Patrick Schnieders added 14, while Chad Stegeman totaled 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Fatima led 14-12 after one quarter and 30-24 at the half. The Comets carried a 46-38 advantage into the final period.
Dallas Hester had 12 points for Strafford (24-5), while Jacob Wade totaled 10 points and 11 rebounds.

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Chamois Lady Pirates are going to the Final Four.
Chamois jumped out to a 12-5 lead after one quarter against Norborne on Saturday afternoon and never looked back in a 45-24 victory in the Class 1 semifinals at Pershing Arena.
Chamois (22-7, ranked No. 8) will face Mercer (28-1, ranked No. 2) in the semifinals at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at the Hearnes Center.
Miranda Brandt had a double-double in the win for Chamois, totaling 22 points and 10 rebounds. Chamois stretched its lead to 20-10 at the half and 37-12 after three quarters.
Devanne McCoy had eight points for Norborne (25-3).
