Stormwater repairs begin Monday

The ongoing project to repair Jefferson City's stormwater system moves to the 700 block of Southwest Boulevard Monday morning.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the city's Public Works department and Stockman Construction, the contractor, will start working just south of Missouri Boulevard.

The traffic flow on Southwest should not be interrupted, officials said.

However, the access to Jefferson Bank will be limited.

Barring bad weather or construction problems, the work should be completed by July 15th.

City officials encourage motorists to use "extreme caution" during the next four weeks, and to avoid the area if possible.
