Third man charged in home invasion

All three suspects in a home invasion earlier this month in Cole County have been charged.

Court records show Danny Galbreath, 26, of 300 W. Ashley St., has been charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.

Earlier, Kendrick Warren, 23, of 3815 Candlelight Drive, and Byron Davis, 19, of 300 W. Ashley St., also have been charged in this case.

The home invasion occurred June 3 in the 5200 block of Collier Court when a group of armed black males forced their way into an apartment and forced residents to lie on the floor.

The suspects left the apartment, taking with them cash and several electronic devices.

They fled in a vehicle and eventually were caught after crashing at Route C and Hemstreet Road.

Warren and Davis told authorities that Galbreath was the driver of the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle located personal items, including a wallet, with Galbreath's name on it.
