Wednesday, June 12, 2013
A Camdenton man drowned Wednesday after jumping into the Lake of the Ozarks.
The Missouri State Patrol said Timothy M. Walter, 33, was working on a dock at the 3.5 mile marker of the main channel when he jumped into the water around 11:41 a.m. and never resurfaced.
He was pronounced dead around 1:23 p.m. after the Lake of the Ozarks Fire Department diving team recovered his body, which was then taken to Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton.
The Rocky Mount Fire Department also assisted in the emergency response.
