BizBeat: Sandwich shop celebrates 10-year anniversary
Sunday, June 9, 2013
The Roly Poly sandwich shop located in Jefferson City at 512 Ellis Blvd. has been serving up a fresh lunch option for 10 years.
Owner and operator Joe Szumigala said he’s enjoyed serving the community all these years.
“I wanted to bring something healthier to Jeff City after several years in fast food. I wanted my own unique store, offering healthy choices,” he said.
Started in 1996, the Roly Poly franchise has more than 80 stores in 21 states. The shop serves a wide variety of flavors, from ethnic to vegetarian options, all rolled in a white or wheat tortilla. The local sandwich shop also offers a variety of salads, soups and sides with delivery service and a full catering menu.
“Over-the-top customer service helps us stand out in today’s market. I have enjoyed working with local schools, state offices providing a fresh alternative,” Szumigala said.
