Champs Chicken, a nationwide-branded food program based in Holts Summit, opened its 500th location Tuesday at the Choctaw Travel Plaza in Poteau, Okla.

This past year, Pro Food Systems Inc. (PFS) announced plans to expand its current distribution center and corporate headquarters in Holts Summit. The expansion was projected to create more than 43 Missouri jobs over three years. To date, 15 of those hires have been completed.
Locally, Champs Chicken can be found at six Moser's Foods throughout Mid-Missouri, including Jefferson City.
